Sistine Chapel, Vatican Museums + St Peter's Basilica
Description
At the time indicated, we'll meet on Viale Vaticano street in Rome, very close to the main entrance of the Vatican Museums. Thanks to our first access ticket, we'll enter the museums as soon as it opens, before the big crowds appear.
Before heading inside, the guide will give us an introduction to the museums and share some interesting facts about the Sistine Chapel, as talking isn't allowed once inside. As we don't need to wait in the queues at the ticket office, we'll enter the Vatican Museums early and walk to the Sistine Chapel.
Before we move on to St. Peter's Basilica, you'll have plenty of time to admire all the wonders of the frescoes of the Sistine Chapel. Both the murals and the vault paintings are decorated with masterpieces of arty history. Among the most striking pieces are The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgment, both by Michelangelo Buonarroti; The Temptations of Christ by Sandro Botticelli; and the Last Supper, by Cosimo Rosselli.
St. Peter's Basilica
Generally, access to St. Peter's Basilica from the Sistine Chapel is available. However, please note that due to masses or other religious events, it may not be possible to enter from the Sistine Chapel.
