Grindelwald & Mount First Day Trip
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Sihlquai bus station. From this point in Zurich, we'll drive to the Canton of Bern, located in inland Switzerland.
We'll first stop in Interlaken, a beautiful town between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. After a short photo stop here, we'll continue our bus journey to Grindelwald, one of the most beautiful villages in the Bernese Alps.
Upon arrival in this fairytale place, we'll give you your train tickets so that you can return to Interlaken on your own in the afternoon. We'll also give you tickets for the cable car to Mount First. Once you have reached the summit of this 2100-metre-high (6,889 ft) peak, you'll have 3 hours of free time on this iconic peak.
Your cable car ticket also gives you access to the First View observation deck and the Cliff Walk by Tissot suspension bridge. From this 40-metre-long (131 ft) walkway, you'll enjoy magnificent views of the Alpine peaks, which will leave you speechless!
At the top of Mount First, you'll also be able to get yourself a drink and, if you wish, enjoy some of its activities. Please note that you'll have to take the cable car back to Grindelwald in good time, where you can explore this charming alpine village.
At the time indicated on your ticket, you'll take the train from Grindelwald to Interlaken, where the bus will be waiting for you at the station to take you back to the meeting point in Zurich, where we'll conclude this 12-hour tour.
Activities at Mount First
In addition to access to the Cliff Walk by Tissot suspension bridge and the First View observation deck, tickets for which are included, you can enjoy the following activities at Mount First at your leisure:
First Flyer Zipline
This 800-metre high (2,624 ft) zip line will take you from Mount First to Schreckfeld station at a maximum speed of 84 kilometres per hour (52 mph) - a real adrenaline rush!

First Glider Zipline
In this experience, you'll enjoy the same route as in the previous attraction. However, the activity will take place on a zipline in the shape of an eagle, with a maximum capacity of 4 people. You'll feel like real birds of prey flying over the Alps!

First Mountain Cart
This is a pedal-powered vehicle with which you can travel the 3 kilometres (1.8 miles) that separate Mount First from Bort station.
Availability: from the 1st of May, 2024, until the 27th of October, 2024.
Trottibike Scooter
An environmentally friendly vehicle with which you can travel from Mount First to Grindelwald station.
Availability: from the 1st of May, 2024, until the 27th of October, 2024.
Guide
Please note that this tour is partially guided. The guide will accompany you on the bus journey from Zurich to Grindelwald, and on the road journey from Interlaken to Zurich.
During your free time in Grindelwald and Mount First and the train journey from Grindelwald to Interlaken, please note that you won't have a guide. However, we'll provide you with the necessary information to enjoy these places on your own.
