Girona, Figueres & Dali Museum Day Trip

  • 382 reviews | 3,510 travellers
I found my visit to Girona very interesting, its architecture that took me back to the Middle Ages, its curiosities such as its lioness, its flies...even its typical dessert (xuxo) that I tried on the recommendation of our guide...delicious. Speaking of the guide...Jhon, great, very friendly and attentive, with very useful recommendations and I think sufficient explanations. Of course, the Dalí museum is a must-visit...tremendous.

Girona, Figueres & Dali Museum Day Trip

Greet your guide at Barcelona’s Estación del Norte and board a spacious air-conditioned coach that will take you to the historic town of Gerona, in the northeast of Catalonia.

Upon arrival, follow your expert guide through the picturesque Old Town (Barri Vell) on foot and discover its striking Jewish Quarter, one of the best preserved in Europe. Throughout the tour, we'll visit significant sites like the Basilica of Sant Feliú, the Cathedral, and the Pont de les Peixateries Velles. Then it's off to visit the Sant Martí church or the Plaça de la Independència.

Once we’ve explored the city’s main landmarks, we'll give you an hour of free time to wander around at your own pace and indulge in local cuisine at a restaurant nearby.

Following lunch, we’ll travel to Figueres. This town is the birthplace of the legendary Surrealist artist Salvador Dalí. Here, take a guided tour of the Dali Museum, established on the city’s ruined Municipal Theatre that Dalí himself transformed into the Dalí Theatre Museum. It contains the artist’s largest repertoire of works, including paintings, drawings and sculptures.

Dalí designed this Theatre-Museum to offer visitors a complete experience, and one of its highlights is the famous sculpted eggs on the building’s rooftop.

You’ll also have access to “Dalí-Jewels” (Dalí-Joies), a permanent exhibition of 39 jewels of gold and precious stones and the paintings and drawings he made of these.

Then, we'll wrap up our day trip, returning to the starting point 9 hours later.

Changes to the Itinerary

Please keep in mind that from March 21st, the tour will be 30 minutes shorter, which will be deducted from your free time in Girona.
