Louvre Museum Guided Tour
Louvre Museum Guided Tour Itinerary
At the time you choose, we'll meet at the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel, situated across from the famous glass pyramid of the Louvre Museum.
From there, we'll head to the museum’s main collections to enjoy a guided tour of the iconic museum. We'll wander the Greek Sculpture halls where you’ll see the Winged Victory of Samothrace, one of the most admired sculptures of the whole museum. We'll also stop in front of other emblematic statues such as the Greek goddess Artemis or the famous Sleeping Hermaphroditus.
Nor will you miss the spectacular gilded decoration of the Gallery of Apollo, whose ornamentation was commissioned by Louis XIV, the Sun King. We'll also get to see the stunning Great Sphinx of Tanis, a work that dates back to 2600 BC.
As for the masterpieces of painting in the Louvre, we'll of course marvel at the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, and other outstanding works belonging to great geniuses of the History of Art such as Rubens, Goya, Delacroix…
The Louvre's art gallery houses a vast collection of indispensable paintings from the history of painting. Some of the most outstanding examples are, in addition to those already mentioned, works such as The Wedding at Cana by Veronese, Liberty Leading the People by Delacroix and The Turkish Bath by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, among others.
When the 2-3 hour guided tour is over, you can stay in the Louvre and keep discovering the world’s largest museum. Your ticket is valid until closing time that same day.
