Description
We'll meet up at the main entrance of the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre, which sits in Krakow's central Świętego Ducha Square.
After a brief introduction, we'll begin our tour through Krakow's Old Town, passing by Krakow's Barbican and the City Walls, where we'll talk about the storied history of this magnificent defensive complex. We'll continue under St. Florian's Gate and walk along Florianska Street until we reach the magnificent St. Mary's Basilica. We'll marvel at this historic structure's incredible interior before continuing on to Market Square to see the Adam Mickiewicz Monument.
Our tour will continue taking us through the old twwn, past landmarks such as St. Adalbert's Church, the Cloth Hall, Old Town Hall Tower, and the Collegium Maius, where we'll see the moving figures of the Astronomical Clock.
We'll continue onto the Basilica of the Franciscans, from which point we'll go to Krakow Cathedral and Wawel Castle. After enjoying some of Poland's most beautiful architecture, we'll continue onto Kazimierz - the Jewish quarter of Krakow. In this district, we'll walk past the Tempel Synagogue, New Square, Old Cemetery, the Remu Synagogue, the Jan Karski Monument as well as the Monument to the Victims of the Holocaust.
After visiting the Popper Synagogue and walking past the Stara synagogue, we'll see some of the city's street art before concluding the free tour after about 3 hours.
