Free Walking Tour of Krakow
Description
Begin your free walking tour between St. Florian’s Gate and the Barbican, where you can immediately discover the traces of the important medieval city Krakow once was, by the old entrance to the walled city.
Then, over two hours, you'll learn about the city’s rich history and anecdotes accompanied by your knowledgeable English-speaking guide. Head back to the city's 15th and 16th-century heyday, when Copernicus himself walked streets packed with exotic goods and foreign merchants, seeking their fortune.
Marvel at the numerous landmarks, including the Main Market Square with St Mary's church, Cloth Hall, the Cathedral, and Castle courtyard. Then onwards to the tragedy of the Second World War in Poland, the communist regime, and even the story of Karol Wojtyła, a man better known as Pope John Paul II.
Important information
The free tours are designed for individual travelers or small groups of friends and family. In the best interest of our customers, we try to limit our groups to relatively small numbers.
