Meteora Day Trip
Meteora Day Trip
At the indicated time, you'll head to Athens Central Station on your own and take the bus to Kalambaka Station, where you'll meet your guide.
After a 4-hour journey, we'll arrive in Kalambaka, we'll make our way to the stunning Meteora Monasteries. During the trip, the driver will reveal the history of this group of monasteries, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We'll have approximately 4 hours to visit the Meteora complex. In total, we'll access 3 of these monuments. The complex is made up of a total of 6 priories: the Monastery of St. Nikolaos, the Monastery of the Holy Trinity, the Monastery of St. Stephen, the Monastery of Roussanou, the Monastery of Varlaam, and the Monastery of Great Meteoron. All the cloisters are of medieval origin and are built on various sandstone mounds, which dominate the surrounding landscape. You'll love it!
Before returning to Kalambaka, we'll make a stop at the Hermit Caves, located between 2 great rock formations called Pyxari and Amparia. The perfect end to the day!
Finally, we'll say our goodbyes at the starting point after 14 hours together.
