Corinth, Mycenae, and Epidaurus Day Trip
Corinth, Mycenae, and Epidaurus Day Trip
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Athens and depart for the Corinth Canal, where we'll make a short stop to enjoy one of the most amazing engineering works in history! Although we won't visit the city of Corinth, we'll mention the exciting history of the city.
Afterward, you'll continue the journey to Epidaurus, where Apollo’s son Asclepius was born. Upon arrival, follow your knowledgeable English-speaking guide to its Ancient Theatre, one of the best-preserved constructions from Ancient Greece. It's also famous for its incredible acoustics!
Before you leave Epidaurus, you'll have free time to visit its Archaeological Museum, a perfect place to learn about the ancient medical practices carried out in the Temple of Asclepius, sacred to the Greek God of medicine.
After visiting the museum, hop back on the bus and admire the fertile valleys full of orange trees until you get to Mycenae. This ancient town was one of the most important centers of Greek civilization. Upon arrival, tour its archaeological site, home of the legendary Agamemnon. Your guide will expose parts of the Iliad and the Odyssey.
After visiting the citadel, the striking Lion’s Gate, and the Tomb of Agamemnon, we'll head back to Athens, arriving at your hotel 10 hours after pickup.
